Upcoming Releases Coffee Outlook 2023
We’ve been on a hunt and scouted some fresh new beans for you. Lots of fruit and floral notes are waiting for you in the first half of 2023. Here’s a sneak peek of some beans we gonna be releasing.
Colombia
Figueroa
Pink Bourbon l Honey l 1400 m.a.s.l.
Remember our juicy Colombian Shuffle sourced by Alfonso on his origin trip? Figueroa is a new coffee we bought through our local contact and friend Fred, founder of Plurilateral Coffees in Colombia.
Fred establishes direct contacts between Colombian producers and roasters from all over the world, not serving as a trader but more as a communicator in a confusing and complex market situation.
We love this coffee and can’t wait to brew our first cup of Figueroa.
Ethiopia
Konga
Heirloom l Fully Washed l 1900 – 2200 m.a.s.l. l Organic
A cup that meets all expectations one might have from an Ethiopian coffee. Complex and clean. Floral with notes of white tea and acidity reminding of bergamot, without missing a delightful sweetness!
This coffee is produced by Konga Coffee in Yirgacheffe region, well known for some of the best coffees. Konga’s objective is to supply Specialty Coffee directly from farmers to high-end roasters across the globe.
Kenya
Kutere
SL28, Ruiru 11, Batian, SL34, k7 l Fully Washed l 1700 – 1850 m.a.s.l l FairTrade, Rain Forest Alliance
Expect a beautiful cup of juicy fruits! Kutere comes with dominant notes of red berries and surprises with peachy sweetness! The coffee has a perfectly balanced body lingering with notes of white flowers and forest fruits.
Kutere Factory is one of two wet mills under Kikai Co-Operative Society in Western Kenya. The farmers have a special interest in diversification having invested in dairy farming as well as biogas installation on some farms and are closing some important circles in the production chain in regards to sustainability.
El Salvador
La Belgica
Pink Kenibon l Natural
Tasting Notes Apple, Pomegranate, Tonka, Creamy
The Kenibon is a hybrid variety of beans from Kenia and Latin America – SL28 and Red Bourbon. The cup profile from “La Belgica” is a wild one. It comes with clear aromas and a creamy texture. Elegantly melting together the fruitiness of red berries and the acidity of green apples.
We’re roasting this coffee for filter and espresso. It’s so good, we had to offer it for both. Enjoy.
Available as of January 10th – exclusively for miró coffee subscriptions.
